Please note that we cannot except returns on any items that are bespoke or handmade unless your item is faulty

In the unlikely event you discover your items are faulty due to our own doing then we will pick up and make any repairs for you as soon as possible

  • Changing your mind on sizes or colours for hand made tables is fine but as long as we haven't started making it (usually 2 weeks before delivery) in which case charges will be made

Farmhouse tables are made from reclaimed old wood so please expect some minor holes, knocks, marks, cracks and dents here and there, however, some large holes will be filled with wood filler so it blends in. Sizes of all our tables are approximate only and may vary by a few centimetres. The pictures of all the tables on the website are just examples of what you can expect to receive and all Farrow and ball colours will be scanned with a quality alternative paint. Please note that due to the nature of the reclaimed wood, the tops may look slightly lighter or darker than that of the pictures.

These tables are full of character and are not ‘perfect’. The timber is reclaimed and there will be marks, cracks & splits, other blemishes and imperfections. The timber is not graded ‘A’ quality… it is carefully selected to be characterful as possible.
The salvaged timbers used are from reclaimed timber, which will be variable in grain, texture and colour.  Knots, cracks, dark marks, rusty spots, unevenness within the planks and variations in colour are all part of the character of the table.
Each plank in the tabletop will be unlikely to be exactly the same in grain, colour or texture. Reclaimed timber may have nicks, saw marks, sanding marks, old nail holes and other various signs of its previous use.  Filler in a sympathetic colour may be used in areas also we may use dowels or blocks to fill larger holes or knots.

As the timber is reclaimed there can be slight movement, you may find that you need to pop a felt pad under one leg for example to address a wobble.
The tabletop is unlikely to be entirely flat and level…. you may find that in areas a dinner plate will (perhaps) not sit entirely flat.  Planks within the tabletop may be slightly cupped and bowed when you first take delivery AND this may occur over time also, and doesn't mean your table is 'faulty"
Areas of the table may have been heavily sanded creating rounded shallows and dips, these can also be found on the edges of the furniture.

Do not sit your table on a floor with underfloor heating when it is first delivered, the extremes of heat may cause sudden drying of the timbers in your table and this could result in cracking.  Although these table tops have been sealed for protection, some stains like turmeric from curry may still stain the surface so please bare this in mind. Extremes of temperature must be avoided for the first 8-12 weeks until your table has settled in.  If you use underfloor heating please be cautious and use it on a low setting for this first period

    Chairs

Please note that when chairs are waxed all over especially in dark oak, they may look slightly lighter in appearance to the table top, this is due to the chairs being made from beech and not reclaimed pine like the table tops, however we will try to get them to match as close as possible
